    Short Bio: Dr. Willie Peijnenburg is a Professor of Environmental Toxicology and Biodiversity. Thereupon, he is a senior researcher at the Dutch National Institute of Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). He is Associate Editor of Aquatic Toxicology and Editor of Chemosphere. His research areas include 1) Environmental fate and effect assessment of chemical contaminants, including metals, POPs, nanoparticles, advanced materials, nano-, and microplastics. 2) Predictive (eco)toxicology, aimed at developing AI/ML-based models; 3) risk assessment of environmental contaminants; 4) Ex-ante LCA focussing on novel technologies.
