Jagpreet Singh currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, University Centre for Research & Development, Chandigarh University, Mohali, India. His research areas focus on the green/sustainable and chemical synthesis of Nanomaterials and their environmental remediation applications. He has published more than 60 articles in SCI journals (> 250 impact factor) and one book and also served as an academic editor, associate editor, editorial member, and reviewer of many international peer-reviewed journals from Nature, Elsevier, Springer, Hindawi, Frontiers, MDPI, etc. In 2021, he is also be reorganized as World Top 2% Scientist by Sandford University and Elsevier.
His research areas include 1) Green/Sustainable Synthesis of Nanomaterials (nanoparticles, nanowires, nanorods, carbon dots, graphene, nanocomposites); 2) Environmental applications of nanomaterials (advanced oxidation processes, heavy metal ion sensing, catalysis, photocatalysis seed germination, antimicrobial activity; 3) Functionalization of metal/metal oxide NPs with carbon-based materials for photocatalysis, antimicrobial, heavy metal ion sensing.
