主持了国家自然科学基金优秀中青年人才专项基金项目(1994)、国家杰出青年基金项目(1996)、欧盟科技合作项目(1996~2000)、国家自然科学基金重大项目(1997~2001)、加拿大CIDA合作项目(1999~2005)、国家重点基础研究973课题(2000~2004，2007~2011)、国家11-5科技支撑课题(2006~2010)、国家水体污染控制与治理科技重大专项项目(2009~2012)、国家自然科学基金NSFC-JST重大国际合作研究项目(2012~)等30余项科技项目。发表论文200余篇，其中在SCI收录的国际杂志发表论文150余篇，被SCI他引2000余次、CNKI《中国引文数据库》他引6000余次。出版专著5部，译著1部，获得授权国家发明专利30余项。
Ni Jinren, professor, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has won the International Sand Research Center Qianning Sands Science Award (1992), China Geography Society Young Geography Science and Technology Award (1993), China Water Conservancy Society Outstanding Youth Science and Technology Award (1993), the first national top ten postdoctoral award (1994), China Youth Science and Technology Award (1994), selected by the Ministry of Personnel of the Ministry of Personnel (100 million talent project) (1995), State Council special allowance (1995), national outstanding postdoctoral (2005), Beijing outstanding teachers (2006), etc., led the Ministry of Education First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award (2007, 2008), Gold Medal of the 41st Geneva International Invention Exhibition and FIRI Special Award, Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award (2010), Second Prize of National Technology Invention (2013), Guiding Doctoral Students Received 100 national outstanding doctoral thesis awards (2013). He has served as a member of the Ninth, Tenth, and Eleventh National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, member of the Population, Resources and Environment Committee, member of the Sixth and Seventh Discipline Review Group of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, executive director of the International Water and Sediment Science Association (IASWS), and the Chinese economy. Director of the Social Council, Director of the China Environmental Protection Association, Director of the Northeast Asia Environmental-Cultural Council, Executive Director of the China Society for Metrology and Testing, Director of the Geographical Society, Director of the Natural Resources Society, and Deputy Director of the China Soil and Water Conservation Monitoring Committee.
He is a member of the Department of Geosciences and Resources and Environment of the Ministry of Education, a visiting professor at Oxford University, the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Applied Basic and Engineering Sciences, and a member of the editorial board of more than 10 domestic and foreign magazines. He has presided over the National Natural Science Foundation's Outstanding Young and Middle-Aged Talents Fund Project (1994), the National Outstanding Youth Fund Project (1996), the EU Science and Technology Cooperation Project (1996~2000), the National Natural Science Foundation of China (1997~2001), and the Canadian CIDA. Cooperation Project (1999~2005), National Key Basic Research 973 Project (2000~2004, 2007~2011), National 11-5 Science and Technology Support Project (2006~2010), National Water Pollution Control and Governance Science and Technology Major Project (2009~ 2012), more than 30 scientific and technological projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation NSFC-JST Major International Cooperation Research Project (2012~). He has published more than 200 papers, including more than 150 papers published in SCI's international magazines. He has been cited by SCI for more than 2,000 times, and CNKI's "Chinese Citation Database" has attracted more than 6,000 times. He has published 5 monographs, translated 1 and obtained more than 30 national invention patents.
