郑一博士于美国加州大学圣巴巴拉分校（University of California, Santa Barbara）获博士学位，现为南方科技大学环境科学与工程学院教授、副院长。曾任北京大学工学院能源与资源工程系特聘研究员、副教授、副系主任，及北京大学水资源研究中心副主任。2016年获国家优秀青年科学基金资助。
兼任国家环境保护流域地表水-地下水污染综合防治重点实验室副主任、深圳市环境物联网技术与应用工程实验室主任、中国自然资源学会理事及青年工作委员会副主任，以及中国地理学会水文地理专业委员会委员等职。曾作为中国科协第297次青年科学家论坛执行主席之一，主持“生态文明与水资源管理”分论坛。2019年荣获中国自然资源学会“优秀科技奖”。2017年至今，担任水文水资源领域顶尖学术期刊Water Resources Research（SCI期刊）的副主编，以及美国土木工程师学会（ASCE）主要学术刊物Journal of Hydrologic Engineering-ASCE（SCI期刊）的副主编。
2007年回国工作后，先后承担包括国家自然科学基金重大研究计划项目在内的十多项国家级科研项目，以及多项企事业单位和国际机构的委托项目。在干旱区地表水-地下水耦合模拟、复杂模型不确定性分析以及水资源管理优化决策等多个方向上获得一系列重要研究成果。已发表学术论文104篇，其中SCI期刊论文76篇，第一或通讯作者SCI论文43篇。论文中有7篇入选过ESI高被引论文，含1篇热点论文（前0.1%）。亮点成果获得学界广泛关注，包括被美国地球物理学会（AGU）会刊Eos的“焦点研究”（Research Spotlight）栏目专题报道及入选水资源领域最具影响力的学术期刊Water Resources Research的封面论文、Editor’s Highlight、featured article等荣誉。其余SCI论文还发表在Environmental Science & Technology, Water Research, Geophysical Research Letters, Water Resources Research, Environmental Modelling & Software, Journal of Hydrology, Advances in Water Resources, Journal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Agricultural and Forest Meteorology等相关专业领域的一流刊物上。
Professor Yi Zheng received his Ph.D. degree in environmental science and management from University of California, Santa Barbara. Dr. Zheng joined the School of Environmental Science & Engineering (ESE) at SUSTech in January 2016. He is currently the Associate Dean of the School of ESE. Before he joined SUSTC, he was an associate professor and the Associate Director of the Department of Energy and Resources Engineering at Peking University. He is an Associate Director of the Young Scientists Committee of China Society of Natural Resources. He is a recipient of the Excellent Young Scholars Award from National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).
After he came back to China in 2007, his research has been supported by more than 10 nation-level grants, as well as several consulting projects. Dr. Zheng has achieved significant research progress in environmental modeling, decision-making, and uncertainty analysis. He has published more than 70 academic papers and book chapters, more than 40 of which are in SCI journals. He has seven papers published in Water Resources Research (WRR). Two WRR papers were given honors of cover paper, Editor’s Highlight and featured article. Other SCI papers were also published in well-recognized environmental and water resources journals like Journal of Hydrology, Environmental Modelling & Software, Advances in Water Resources, Environmental Pollution, Science of the Total Environment, Agricultural Water Management, Water Research etc.
Dr. Zheng has extensive experience of watershed management practice, both in the U.S. and in China. He held a water resources engineer position in an environmental consulting firm before he came back to China, and his tasks included watershed water quality modeling, and development and management application of decision-making systems. He participated in, as a key member, several water resources assessment and environmental planning projects contracted with state and local government agencies, including California Department of Transportation, Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board, and Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. These projects cover watersheds in both west and east coastal areas of the U.S. In China, his watershed work covered Heihe River Basin, Huaihe River Basin, Luanhe River Basin, Xiangjiang River Basin, and Chaohu Lake Basin, as well as urban watersheds in modern cities like Beijing and Qingdao.
