祝振昌 教授

Zhenchang Zhu studied biotechnology at East China Normal University, did a PhD in the field of estuarine and coastal ecology at Radboud University Nijmegen in The Netherlands, followed by a postdoc in the field of coastal bio-geomorphology at Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ-Yerseke), with a research focus on nature-based flood defenses in the face of rising seas. Since 2018, he has moved to South China where he studied environmental ecology and bio-geomorphology of blue carbon ecosystems. Currently, he is a professor at School of Ecology, Environment and Resources, Guangdong University of Technology. His research topics cover different aspects of sustainability, including global environmental change, coastal ecosystem restoration, nature-based solutions, blue carbon and new pollutants in the marine environment. He also a strong interest in crossing the border between fundamental and applied research.
