Dr. Cao is an associate professor at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). She has an academic background of ecology and geography. Her research is focused on understanding landscape and climate change interactions, including the impacts of changing landscape patterns on climate processes, urbanization impacts on climate, and landscape-based approaches to climate change mitigation and adaptation. An important ongoing focus of her research is to understand ecosystem services, human well-being, and landscape sustainability. Dr. Cao has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed journal articles and served as a reviewer for more than 10 journals, including Earth's Future, Journal of Hydrology, JGR-Atmospheres, Landscape Ecology, Urban Climate, etc. Dr. Cao joint the team of ELSEVIER and became an Editorial Board Member in 2019.
