Zheng-Yang Huo 副教授

Zheng-Yang Huo is an assistant professor working at the Renmin University of China (RUC), since 2021. He is the PI of Nano Energy and Water Safety (NEWS) lab. He received his Ph.D. degree at the School of Environment, Tsinghua University, China, in 2019. His research focuses on novel materials for water disinfection. He has published >30 journal papers (h-index: 19, >900 citations), filed 4 patents, and presented at 5 international conferences. Before joining RUC, he received his Ph.D. from the School of Environment at Tsinghua in 2019, supervised by Prof. Hong-Ying Hu, and worked as a research professor with Prof. Kim Sang-Woo at Sungkyunkwan University funded by the Korea Research Fellowship (KRF, €120,000). He is awarded the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions individual fellowship (MSCA IF, €240,000). As an MSCA fellow, Dr. Huo will visit the University of Bath for two-year academic research on the self-powered water disinfection method.
