首都师范大学 中国

Dr. Yun Pan received his PhD in hydrology from Hiroshima University in 2009, then he jointed College of Resource Environment and Tourism (CRET), Capital Normal University, and now he serves as a full professor and dean of CRET. He is the founder of the conference on China Satellite Gravimetry and Hydrology. He also serves as a community member of the Remote Sensing Division of IAHS-China, and the vice-president of the Beijing Geography Society. His recent research mainly focuses on using multiple data including satellite gravity, modeling, and in situ measurements to understand changes in groundwater storage and terrestrial water storage across scales, and use of big earth data to in support of sustainable groundwater management. His work has well contributed to a better understanding of changes in groundwater storage of the North China Plain, with confidently identified trends before and during South-to-North Water Diversion, and reasonably quantified human-induced evapotranspiration due to irrigation with groundwater. His work also provides good supports to China Geology Survey in national and regional groundwater monitoring. He is PI of several projects founded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Second Tibetan Plateau Scientific Expedition and Research Program, and the others. His research has been published in some leading journals such as GRL, RSE, WRR, and JoH.
