Professor Liang Tang received his PhD degree in environmental science and engineering in 2012. He currently is a professor at Shanghai University and the deputy director of Key Laboratory of Organic Compound Pollution Control Engineering (MOE). Till now, he has published 100 papers in high-quality environmental journals. He has been working in the field of risk assessment and treatment technology for environmental pollutants, particularly the behaviors of emerging contaminants in multiple environmental media, toxicity evaluation and prediction of the low-dose and mixed emerging contaminants, joint toxic actions and joint resistance actions of antibacterial mixtures, photocatalysis and electrocatalysis technology of advanced functional materials, and low-carbon and energy conservation measures in environmental governance. He focuses on clarifying the environmental behaviors in natural conditions of emerging contaminants, exploring the corresponding ecotoxicity on multiple biological models, and developing innovative and sustainable technologies for pollution control via integrating multiple treatment means, in order to give a comprehensive risk evaluation of these pollutants in different environmental sets and achieve high-efficiency removal of pollutants with a minimized carbon footprint.
