Aviram Sharma Senior Researcher

Dr Aviram Sharma is an interdisciplinary social science researcher whose research interests fall on the interface of STS (Science, Technology, and Society Studies), Environmental Studies and Development Studies. Currently, he works as a Senior Researcher at the University of Vigo, Spain. Before joining this position, he worked for around eight years as an Assistant Professor at the School of Ecology and Environment Studies, Nalanda University, India. He has held visiting research positions at the University of Essex (2011), at the Institute for Advanced Studies on Science, Technology, and Society at Graz, Austria (2016) and at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany (2017).

Currently, he is serving as a Senior Research Fellow at Earth System Governance Project, Utrecht University, Netherlands and a faculty affiliate with Climate Social Science Network at the Institute at Brown for Environment and Society, Brown University and Ostrom Workshop External Affiliate at Indiana University, Bloomington, USA. 

He serves on the Editorial Board of the Bulletin of Science, Technology and Society (Sage), Humanities and Social Sciences Communications (Springer Nature) and Societal Impacts (Elsevier). Besides, he is working as an Associate Editor for Heliyon – Society and Politics Section (Cell Press) and for a mega book project of Springer on Implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals- Regional Perspectives.
