Fang Zhang received his PhD degree in applied chemistry at University of Science and Technology of China in June 2013. He currently is an associate professor in the College of Resources and Environment at Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. His major areas of research are environmental technology and wastewater treatment, particularly organic wastes reduction (such as waste activated sludge and kitchen waste) by anaerobic fermentation for valuable chemicals production of methane, hydrogen, and middle-chain fatty acids. He has published more than 70 scientific papers in SCI journals like Environmental Science & Technology, Environmental Science & Technology Letters, Water Research, and Science of The Total Environment.
