Dr. Moreno is a poctdoctoral researcher in the research group Travel Behavior at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), which she joined in 2016 through a TUM University Foundation Fellowship. She currently is the Head of Research Group "Travel Analytics". Prior to this she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (UPV) (Spain) where she gained research experience in various transportation fields. She holds a M.Sc in Civil Engineering (2008), a M.Sc in Transport, Urban Planning and Land Use (2011) and a PhD in Civil Engineering (2015) from UPV. During her doctoral studies, she was a visiting scholar at the University of British Columbia and the University of Florida; and a visiting researcher at the Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt). Her thesis work together with additional research work was awarded by the International Juan Antonio Fernandez del Campo prize of the Asociacion Espanyola de la Carretera (2016). She is a member of the Committee ACP40 (Highway Capacity and Quality of Service) of the Transportation Research Board of the National Academies of Sciences of the US where she serves as Paper Review Coordinator and leads the two-lane highways group. She is the PI at TUM for the NCHRP 08-135 project "Reliability and Quality of Service Evaluation Methods for Rural Highways" of the National Cooperative Highway Research Program of the US.
